Job shadowing offers students a more in-depth look at local businesses and industries. These experiences can be an entire day or just a few hours. You can choose to host just one or many students at a time. Job shadowing provides students a unique in-person opportunity to observe day-to-day workplace operations and ask on-the-spot questions.
SPIE’s Educator Internship Program places educators in business/industry to learn up-to-date job competencies through observation. These experiences can be as hands-on or off as allowed by the business, with a goal of providing the educator with a vast amount of information to take back to their classrooms. Educators come with Workman’s Compensation Insurance and SPIE compensates them for their time.
A mentorship program between students and a local business partner provides a platform for mutual learning, support, and growth. It empowers our local youth to make informed decisions about their futures while helping local businesses engage with and invest in their communities by nurturing the next generation of talent.
