Why Pursue a Career in the Trades?

Whether you’re interested in construction, automotive, culinary arts, cosmetology, or another vocational path, these careers offer stability, competitive salaries, and the opportunity to work hands-on in industries that are always in demand.
Scholarship Details
The Trade Scholarship Fund is designed to support students pursuing vocational trade certificates or degrees. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000, helping you cover the cost of education and training programs, including apprenticeships, on-the-job training, and specialized education programs.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Reside in the greater Stanislaus County region.
- Be pursuing a certificate or degree in vocational trades.
- Have been accepted into a program starting within the next 12 months.
- Be a high school/HSE, GED, college, re-entry, or continuing student.
- Complete the scholarship application and three essay questions (maximum 200 words per question).
Important Dates
Applications and essays are due by Friday, April 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Scholarship winners will be announced the week of April 28, 2025.
