Driving Futures Forward: High School Students Explore Trucking Careers

Thanks, in part, to the Stanislaus Partners in Education Career Education Grant, two Patterson high school students attended the Women In Trucking Association’s Accelerate Conference & Expo, gaining invaluable industry insights and career inspiration. The event provided hands-on learning, networking with professionals, and exposure to cutting-edge technology, highlighting diverse career paths in trucking.

A highlight was hearing from female leaders who shared their journeys, empowering students with confidence and adaptability. Two high school seniors later shared their experiences with the SPIE Board, emphasizing how the event enhanced their public speaking, communication with adults, and other critical skills. Their powerful testimonies underscored the conference’s impact on their future aspirations.

Experiential learning like this bridges education with career opportunities, thanks to initiatives like SPIE’s support.
